Users had trouble comprehending the information on the site, and the complex content management system made it challenging to manage content effectively. The client wanted to create a tailored news experience for their readers, with features like live news streaming, geolocation, an admin dashboard, and personalization — all built on a robust JavaScript foundation. ## Solution We conducted a thorough analysis of the client's requirements, aiming to align our solution with their vision. We streamlined content management, making it more intuitive and efficient. This included reducing RAM usage and enhancing website scalability to accommodate over 12,000 concurrent users and serve content to a staggering 15 million unique monthly visitors. To streamline performance, we replaced the Redis cache server with NodeJS and transitioned to an elastic search with global search capabilities. ### Picture-in-picture for live TV To enhance the Live TV feature, we introduced a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) functionality. It offers complete control over homepage components and the configuration of displayed news articles, making repositioning effortless. This integration with the JavaScript-based website significantly enhances the content authoring experience, enabling multiple editors to create and publish content seamlessly. ### Customized SEO/SEM Our commitment to optimizing user experiences extended to customized Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). This integration enables the website to automatically detect a user's location and deliver news relevant to their geographic area. ### Trending news Seamlessly integrated Google's API to curate and display the most popular and trending news articles from Google. Website loading times have significantly improved, and the introduction of an efficient admin dashboard has streamlined content management processes. Context-based ads have resulted in increased revenue. We achieved a 15% reduction in page load times, and the platform can now effortlessly support 26,000 concurrent users while successfully serving 35 million unique users on a monthly basis. The collaboration with QED42 resulted in a drastic improvement in website speed and SEO results. They defined a modular component architecture, allowing the client to make changes quickly.
