The challenges

Bringing considerable websites together from different markets and languages was tough, especially when we had to follow specific country rules for each brand.

The approach

We began by conducting a thorough analysis of the existing websites, understanding the diverse brand identities, and assessing the complexity of the consolidation task. Working closely with Acquia, we crafted a strategic roadmap that outlined the implementation of Acquia Cloud Site Factory and Acquia Site Studio.

enterprise scalable, self-service platform for Company

Drupal 8 multisite platform

We set up a Drupal 8 multisite platform to manage 2000 websites efficiently. This solution enhances scalability and flexibility. The client could effortlessly oversee diverse websites with unique identities, maintaining a centralized online presence.

Our low-code solution introduces a self-service IT environment, ensuring streamlined cross-divisional business goals in the client's digital ecosystem.

Design system

Our team crafted a global design system with an easy drag-and-drop interface for quick updates. This system was configurable with an unbranded core.

It handled diverse brand identities, offering standardized features for consistency across markets. Being a single platform for all brands, it boosted workflow efficiency and ensured brand consistency. We integrated accessibility and UX best practices into every component.

Decoupled components

We implemented decoupled components using Acquia Site Studio, enabling each component to operate independently. A modular and autonomous system was set up, ensuring changes or updates to one element didn't require alterations in others.

This ensured a flexible and easily manageable system, enhancing overall functionality to adapt to the client's evolving requirements.

Architecture

For speed and efficiency, a central hub was formed to streamline operations with a decentralized operating architecture. The self-service system enabled different groups to manage their online presence on their own. The client's team could customize it for different regions, making it adaptable as per their needs.

Integration & access management

To make the platform faster and more secure, we integrated Acquia Varnish for caching and AKAMAI CDN for speed. Seamless Salesforce CRM integration organized data, while third-party authentication strengthened user access. Our access management system tailored preferences for a secure, personalized experience.

Plus, we added features like articles, events, and quizzes for an engaging digital experience.

The outcome

We enabled the client to achieve greater flexibility, allowing for the creation of numerous sites with adjustable features in line with design system guidelines. Workflow management and updates on brand sites were improved, resulting in a significant boost in efficiency.

The platform successfully maintained diverse brand identities while adhering to a set of shared rules for consistency. The design system equipped brand agencies with the necessary tools to design confidently and meet industry standards.
